Set to take place on November 14 at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany, the MTV EMAs are set to celebrate the best of the best in the music industry.
From icons such as Harry Styles and Taylor Swift, to Latin superstars Bad Bunny and Rosalia, the MTV EMAs has every category covered.
Styles, 28, has received the most nods, sitting at seven nominations, followed closely by Swift, 32, who has been recognised in six categories.
Nicki Minaj, 29, and Rosalia, 30, have received five nominations each.
This year, the show will also feature 17 first-time performers, including Gayle, Dove Cameron, Kim Petras, Doechii, Saucy Santana, Summer Walker, Shenseea and more.
The night will be hosted by husband and wife duo: Singer-songwriter Rita Ora and Oscar and Grammy-winning writer, director and actor Taika Waititi.
Rita previously hosted the EMAs in 2017, where she was honoured with the Power of Music Award. Her TV credits include the Fifty Shades trilogy, The Masked Singer UK, The Voice Australia and The X-Factor UK.
Waititi’s movie, JoJo Rabbit, saw him win an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. The film was also nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and won a Grammy Award for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
“We’re excited to host this year’s MTV EMAs and celebrate the best musicians and performances from around the world. We look forward to sharing the evening with all of these talented artists,” they said in a statement.
Ora added: “I’m thrilled to be back hosting, and sharing the stage with Taika makes it all the more special. We’ve got it all at this year’s EMAs, fun surprises, fantastic fashion, comedy, and above all amazing music. We can’t wait for audiences to share these moments with us.”
