As a brand-new season of “The Traitors” kicks into full swing, we’ve already become invested. The mystery, intrigue and drama had us hooked from the get-go, and frankly, we want to know where “The Traitors” was filmed!
If you haven’t had the chance to tune in, let us break it down for you. “The Traitors” sees a group of 20 players, known as Faithfuls, live together in a hotel, where they will take part in challenges in the hopes of walking away with $250,000. They’ll also need to figure out who amongst them are Traitors in hiding.
Last year, our contestants worked together on challenges to win bars of silver for the prize pot. This year, they’ve split the contestants into two teams, Rodger Corser told The Latch.
“We sort of thought that maybe let some players coast a little bit, because maybe the more athletic or people who are really engaged in those outdoor activities, always seemed to be the ones shining,” Rodger explains. “So pretty much every challenge now has some element of personal jeopardy involved.”
There’s a lot on the line because if a Traitor manages to make it to the end undetected, they take home the entire amount. However, if a Faithful is able to expose a Traitor and get rid of them before the final vote, they have the option to take all the prize money or share it with their remaining Faithful.
Sounds interesting right? But where is this all going down? The stunning historical building gave off the right vibes and made us want to book a staycation, stat.
Where Is “The Traitors” Filmed?
After a bit of Googling, we discovered it’s The Robertson Hotel in New South Wales Southern Highlands.
According to the hotel’s website, the mansion was first built in 1924 and has since been given a revamp while still keeping the heritage of the property alive.
The Robertson Hotel contains a restaurant, bar, café and a piano room. It’s also the perfect place to host a special event, such as a wedding or a corporate function.
(Does this sound like an ad? We promise they’re not paying us for this).
If you’re thinking about booking a stay, you’re looking at spending a minimum of $129 a night, with the most expensive room setting you back close to $350 a night.
At the end of the day, though, we’re not here to tell you what to do. If you want to find out all the nitty gritty details, check out their website here.
