The highly anticipated new season of “Married At First Sight” is here, and it’s full speed ahead for another round of chaos and drama. We’ve met all the couples, watched them exchange vows with a complete stranger and go on their honeymoons. Not to mention the season’s very first dinner party went off with a bang.

It’s one of the most watched and talked about reality TV shows in Australia right now, which might get you wondering: where is this actually filmed?

While the majority of the filming is done in Sydney, the show uses multiple locations around the city. This season’s couples haven’t moved in together yet, but from previous seasons, we know that they usually stay together at the SKYE Suites Sydney.

Where are the MAFS Dinner Parties and Commitment Ceremonies Filmed?

The dinner parties are famously filmed in the Sydney suburb of Lilyfield. While the location gives off that industrial chic appearance, the reality is that the location is more on the industrial side and less on the chic scale. 

The 1,200sqm loft space is rented by the show each year and transformed into a sleek looking space that can be used for the pre-dinner drinks and the dinner itself. It’s also the same location used for the intense commitment ceremonies on Sunday nights.

It wouldn’t be “MAFS” without the picturesque wedding venues. Along with the stunning designer dresses, it’s the views behind the couple that really help capture people’s attention.

Last year, the ongoing COVID lockdowns meant that the “MAFS” weddings weren’t as luxe as they usually are, but this year, they’re back and more stunning than ever.

Melinda and Layton | The Jackson Yacht, NSW

Melinda and Layton said ‘I do’ onboard The Jackson Yacht in Sydney Harbour. It’s Sydney’s newest, most luxurious vessel, hosting some of Australia’s top talent and events since commencing operations in March 2022. The yacht was decorated in classy white floral arrangements for the special day.

Melissa and Josh | Swifts, NSW

This couple had their wedding at Swifts, a heritage-listed late-Victorian castellated Gothic Revival mansion located in the suburb of Darling Point, Sydney.

Alyssa and Duncan | Tides Byron Estate, NSW

These love birds first locked eyes at the stunning Tides Byron Estate, located in the Byron hinterlands. Nestled in a macadamia orchard, the reception area attached to the lawn has a custom-designed events hall for up to 140 guests.

Caitlin and Shannon | Braeside Gin House Creek Estate, QLD

Caitlin and Shannon got hitched at the Braeside Gin House Creek Estate on the Gold Coast. The picturesque location is nestled on two acres of beautiful and historic grounds.

Nestled in rolling green hills in the Byron Bay hinterland, the loved-up couple wed at Villa Rustica. It was a jaw-dropping location with faded charm and rustic elegance.

Bronte and Harrison | Sydney Coliseum Theatre, NSW

One of the show’s controversial couple exchanged vows at the Sydney Coliseum Theatre in Rooty Hill. The theatre, with its shimmering chandelier and Terrazzo floors, was decked out with white flowers for the occasion.
