You Asked, We Answered: Where Is Love Island Australia Filmed This Year?

The countdown to Love Island Australia is on, and this year, the show is going to be bigger than ever.

With the pandemic somewhat behind us, the reality series is heading overseas rather than Byron Bay, where they filmed the show last year.

This isn’t the first time Love Island Australia has journeyed across the pond. In Season 2, the show took the Islanders to Fiji, and in season 1, they stayed in Mallorca, Spain, which is where they’ll be residing this year.

It’s guaranteed to be a hot girl summer, as the European destination is known for its beautiful weather and clear blue skies (something we desperately need in Sydney and Melbourne rn).

Season 4 of Love Island Australia will see 13 singles attempt to find love; however, while the premise of the show remains the same, there are a few changes.

Usually shown on Channel 9, the network has decided to keep the dating series exclusively on 9Now, and rather than showing episodes 24 hours after they’ve been filmed, everything has been pre-recorded.

Why the change? We’re not entirely sure, but we’re just going to have to wait and see if it impacts the viewing experience.

Some elements of the show will still remain the same, with Sophie Monk returning to host for the fourth time. Not to mention the drama, heartaches and wholesome moments, which aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

So pack your bags and make sure your passport hasn’t expired because we’re heading to Mallorca, Spain, for the upcoming season of Love Island Australia!

Love Island Australia premieres on October 31, exclusively on 9Now.
