Farmer Wants a Wife is in full swing, and we’re loving watching it all unfold. From the sparks flying to the cute dates, and yes, the drama of it all, we’re absolutely hooked.

This season, we’ve got Farmer Paige — the very first female farmer the show’s ever had — and she’s on the hunt for a hubby, but our other four farmers — Farmer BenFarmer BenjaminFarmer Harry and Farmer Will — make up the rest of the cast who are looking for love.

Today, we’re diving into the gorgeous backdrop for what will hopefully be some long-lasting love connections, though.

Located in NSW’s beautiful Hunter Valley, the Farmers met their maybe-future-loves at The Convent, a stunning boutique hotel that is effortlessly glamorous and perfectly picturesque for the beginning of a fairytale romance.

It’s called The Convent because, yep, you guessed it, it was once home to the Brigidine order of nuns in Coonamble, but after a thorough reconstruction, is now a beautiful getaway for weddings, girls’ weekends, and for our Farmers!

According to The Convent’s website, the estate “has a ‘European luxe meets Hamptons Long Island’ vibe”.

“Unwind and enjoy renowned local wines at Pepper Tree Winery and share the passion for organic produce and farm to fork dining at our hatted restaurant at Circa 1876,” the site says. We’d like to!!!

With a private retreat, a tennis court and a vineyard all on the property, you can take in the gorgeous scenery as you breeze through the French doors onto the wide verandahs, really feeling yourself in your Notebook-worthy fantasy!

While the 2021 season ended with chaos, as contestant Hayley Love announced her pregnancy with Farmer Will (despite competing as one of Farmer Matt’s ladies), Farmer Wants A Wife remains the most successful and enduring reality dating series. The Australian series alone has resulted in nine marriages, one long-term relationship, and a whopping 23 babies!

Since The Convent is such a hugely popular wedding venue, we’re crossing our fingers that this season will see them lock in another five weddings soon — one for each of our farmers, of course!

Farmer Wants a Wife airs at 7pm on Sundays, and 7.30pm on Mondays and Tuesdays, only on 7 and 7 Plus.
