Australia’s most feel-good show is making its way back to our TV screens, but this time, the contestants are people you already know and love.
Celebrity MasterChef features big names such as Ian Thorpe, Rebecca Gibney and Tilly Ramsay to name a few.
And while we’ve been seeing snippets here and there, we had yet to know a date — until now.
Celebrity MasterChef will premiere on Sunday, October 10 at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10play.
Returning to the judging panel will be Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo.
The stars will be put to the test as they face Mystery Box challenges and Pressure Tests, and maybe, even the infamous Relay (white chocolate volute anyone?).
In the latest trailer released by Channel 10, fans of the show were given a good glimpse into what the latest season will entail, including a guest appearance from none other than Gordon Ramsay.
But no season of MasterChef is complete without a few tears of joy, and despite the immense pressure the celebs are put under, it all balances out with the heartfelt moments.
In the trailer, Melissa told actor Matt Le Nevez: “Understanding why this is so special for you, adds this extra level of meaning to the food that’s just so beautiful.”
Speaking to New Idea, judge Andy said he couldn’t be more excited for the upcoming season.
“I think it’s definitely going to be a hit because it was one of those things which was just epic to turn up every single day to work and you were just wondering what was going to go down and it was a really good time so I’m looking forward to it,” he said.
He continued by praising the cast, who not only “got on with each other”, but “really embraced the experience”.
“I think after the first couple of challenges it went from like ‘I’m not very good’ to ‘I’m just going to give it a red hot crack’ and they really embraced the process so it’s going to be amazing to see how it translates to the screen,” Andy said.
