Will Taylor Swift Re-Release “Speak Now” Next? 6 Easter Eggs
Based on the abundance of hints suggesting Swift’s 2010 album will be her next re-release, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” feels like the front-runner to be released next. Here’s why Swifties think so.
1. Swift’s Latest “Saturday Night Live” Song “Three Sad Virgins”
The day after releasing “Red (Taylor’s Version),” Swift stopped by for the Nov. 13, 2021, episode of “Saturday Night Live.” She also took part in a hilarious skit featuring Pete Davidson where she showed her songwriting prowess in hilarious fashion. The title of the song she and Davidson performed in the skit was “Three Sad Virgins,” which got my Swiftie senses tingling. Could the “three” in the title stand for “Speak Now,” aka, her third studio album?
2. Swift’s Purple Outfits
On Nov. 12, Swift showed up at the NYC “All Too Well: The Short Film” premiere clad in a gorgeous velvet suit. It’s well established that Taylor connects different colours, weather, and themes with her various albums (her fourth album is literally called “Red”!). The dress Swift wore on her “Speak Now” album cover was purple, so her wardrobe choice at the premiere piqued fans’ interest.
3. Swift’s 32nd Birthday Message to Fans
Swift and Alana Haim (her close friend and one of the three members of the music group HAIM) threw a joined birthday party to ring in their 32nd and 30th birthday, respectively. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that the picture shared by Swift on her social media shows an AMA award won by Swift for “Speak Now” in the background. Now, we know Swift has won countless awards throughout her career, but she chose to flaunt just this single accolade; there’s got to be a reason for that, right?!
4. Swift’s “Speak Now”-Inspired Instagram Caption
To celebrate the release of “Red (Taylor’s Version),” Swift penned an emotional letter to fans on Instagram. “Red is about to be mine again, but it has always been ours. Tonight we begin again,” the post read. Do you know what else brought me to tears reading this message? Casually working in two track titles from “Speak Now” (“Mine” and “Ours”) in the caption. If that isn’t the clearest sign out there, I don’t know what is!
5. “I Bet You Think About Me” Music Video Easter Eggs
Swift surprise-dropped a music video for her vault track “I Bet You Think About Me” quickly after the release of “Red (Taylor’s Version). The song visuals were stunning and, as usual, filled with numerous hidden messages straight from the mind of the queen of Easter eggs herself. The most telling clue would be Taylor “barging in on a white-veiled occasion” – even though it’s all inside her supposed ex’s head – which mirrors the lyrics from her “Speak Now” title track. Another element of the video that made us do a double-take was when Swift brings the video to a close in a stunning red gown. This dress is eerily similar to the one featured on the album cover for the deluxe edition of “Speak Now.” And lastly, the wedding cake that Swift claws a huge piece out of sees her three fingers, a likely nod at “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version).”
6. The Mysterious Price of Swift’s “Red (Taylor’s Version)” Album
During the week leading up to the “Red (Taylor’s Version)”‘s release, the price for her official signed CD on her official store was $20.10. If the ten extra cents weren’t suspicious enough, the price was printed in purple colour, indicating her 2010 album “Speak Now.”

Will Taylor Swift Re-Release “1989” Next? 3 Easter Eggs
Following the release of “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” in April 2021, the fandom thought “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” would be next in line to be remastered, but Swift threw everyone for a loop when she dropped “Red (Taylor’s Version)” instead. Though she may be holding off on re-releasing “1989” because of the ongoing copyright trial over “Shake It Off,” some fans are more convinced than ever that “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” will go out into the world next. After all, Swift has already released its lead single “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version).” Could this summer be the perfect time for us to dust off our polaroid cameras and fully reimmerse in “1989” all over again? These theories make us think so.
1. “The Joker And The Queen” Music Video Easter Eggs
Along with “Red”‘s November 2021 re-release, the highly-anticipated 10-minute version of “All Too Well” came with a beautiful short film. The car used in the video is from the year 1989, and even Swift confirmed this Easter egg when she replied to the TikTok herself. In the video, Swift also modelled the book her character wrote in the short film after Lewis Carroll’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.” Interestingly enough, Swift has a song called”Wonderland” on the deluxe version of “1989.”
3. “I Bet You Think About Me” Music Video Hints
One fan noted that the cakes in Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me” and “Blank Space” music videos were both red velvet. It’s also worth noting that much like the latter’s video, where Swift brutally stabs the cake with a knife, “I Bet You Think About Me” visuals show Swift’s character recklessly clawing the cake with her fingers. Is it just a coincidence, to a clue “1989”‘s re-release is around the corner? Only Taylor knows!
