Shortly after his divorce from Ferson, Holmes met Marilee Feibig, lawyer and chief diversity officer of the Save the Children Foundation, and they married in 2010. The particulars of how they met are unknown, but their daughter, Sabine, was born in 2013.
Holmes was very open about how much positivity Fiebig brought to his life throughout their marriage. In a 2014 essay penned for The Root (via Eurweb), Holmes wrote, “I like who I am with her,” describing her as a “partner” who was always “looking out for me, advising me, keeping me on track and stopping me from making a mistake, no matter how great or small.” Years later, on their 10th anniversary, he penned a gushing Facebook post, writing, “Asking her for another 10 years would be asking too much. Another 10 months? That may even be a stretch. If she gave me another 10 weeks, I should consider myself lucky. If she puts up with me another 10 days, I’d be grateful.”
Unfortunately, that level of bliss didn’t last. In November 2022, explosive rumors that Holmes was dating his “GMA3” coanchor, Robach, emerged in the press, along with photos of the pair vacationing in upstate New York. Days later, a source told People that Holmes and Fiebig had separated in August 2022 before his reported relationship with Robach began. On Dec. 28, E! News reported that Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig after nearly 13 years of marriage.
In a Jan. 4 statement through her lawyer to the Daily Mail, Fiebig said her sole focus amid her divorce from Holmes is “the overall best interest of her 9-year-old daughter” and that she’s working with Holmes’s lawyer to “move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible.” She did, however, express dismay over Holmes’s lack of discretion amid his newfound romance with Robach. “We continue to be disappointed by T.J.’s lack of discretion, respect, and sensitivity toward Marilee and the party’s daughter,” the rep added.
