The Traitors: Teresa Has a Superpower Up Her Sleeve

Imagine Cluedo, but in real life. Sounds like my childhood fantasy, TBH. But for 24 players, this will be their reality; as they participate in Channel 10’s newest game show: The Traitors.

The Traitors sees a group of 24 players, also known as Faithfuls, live together in a grand old hotel where they will need to have their wits about them as they carry out challenges in order to win silver bars, contributing to a prize pool of silver worth up to $250,000.

They’ll also need to figure out which, among them, are actually Traitors.

Stakes are high, because if a Traitor makes it to the end undetected, they get to walk away with the lot. If a Faithful can successfully unmask a Traitor, however, and get rid of them before the final vote, they have the option to take all the prize money or split and share it with their final remaining Faithful.

If anyone is going to be in tune which who is a Traitor or a Faithful, it’s clairvoyant Chloe. She knows her unique skill set is one that can work in her favour in finding out who people really are.

Phew! Okay. So, who are the players competing on The Traitors? One of them is 42-year-old sports club manager, Teresa, from Western Australia.

Hilarious and not one to hide in the background, Teresa says “I’m loud, boisterous, bossy” in a press statement.

“You’ll either love me or hate me, there’s no in between. But I think you’ll love me.”

A woman of many skills, Teresa is an MC who can command a crowd of 10,000 people, she’s a DJ, manages drag queen shows, runs netball clubs, is a mum and is taking the opportunity to play The Traitors to prove something to herself and her community.

“I can walk into a room and will either light it up or stay quiet and watch what’s happening,” she says, when asked about her strategy coming into the game.

“At the end of the day, people are my superpower and it’s going to help me in this game. I do have a hero complex and love to save the day so I will
need to tone that down.”

Although she’d be good as a Traitor or a Faithful, Teresa hopes she’s a Faithful.

“I’m worried people can just read my face and I’m not a great liar. If I’m doing something wrong, I usually talk too much and I feel that might give me away. But there’s money on the table so let’s hope I can hold it together.”

But she’s so competitive that whichever card she is dealt you can be sure that she’ll do her best to get to the end.

“I don’t think you understand how competitive I am and if I lose this game, I am going to cry. I’m going to burn down wherever we are and then I’ll start a Go Fund Me page”.

Will Teresa’s superpowers come to fruition? Tune in to The Traitors, premiering on Sunday, October 16 on 10 and 10play to find out.
