If you ever jumped on the Among Us craze a few years back, you need to tune in to Channel 10’s latest reality series, The Traitors.
The competition sees a group of 24 players, known as Faithfuls, live together in a hotel, where they will take part in challenges in the hopes to walk away with $250,000.
They’ll also need to figure out who amongst them are actually Traitors in hiding.
There’s a lot on the line, because if a Traitor manages to make it to the end undetected, they take home the entire amount. However, if a Faithful is able to expose a Traitor and get rid of them before the final vote, they have the option to take all the prize money or share it with their remaining Faithful.
20-year-old Kashindi is a law student hailing from Queensland, so she’s a quick thinker.
She’s used to being misjudged, but she says she just prefers to read the room before talking — a skill that is sure to take her far in the competition.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m rude, and I think it’s because I have a resting face. I also like to observe before I talk so that can come off as arrogant or rude, but I’m actually very loving and funny.”
Coming from a large family, Kashindi jokes that she lives with Traitors every day and thinks it’ll help her while on the show.
“Every day is a day of trying to figure out who broke the dishes, who did this and who did that. I live in a house with four rugby players, one singer and one who wants to be a pop star, so I have to be competitive. I always want to win, and until I’ve won, I don’t feel like I’ve done enough. It’s either win or win. Not win or lose”.
She plans on keeping her private life private when entering the hotel, knowing the importance of not giving too much away.
She wants to walk out $250,000 richer, and what Kashindi wants, she gets.
“Loyalty is everything in my life but not in the game. In the game, I don’t owe anyone anything. Nobody helped me get into this game”.
Will she be successful? Find out on The Traitors, airing at 7.30pm only on 10 and 10 Play on Demand.
