After a whirlwind first season, The Traitors is headed towards the finish line.
Last night, Nigel, who was the last original Traitor, was banished from the hotel, leaving the competition in the hands of the final four contestants.
All eyes were on newly-minted Traitor Kate after she showed up to breakfast alive and thriving — exactly what fellow Traitor Alex wanted.
Alex knows how to play her cards right, predicting in advance that recruiting Kate will divert people’s attention away from her.
It was a smart move and a successful one, too, because it resulted in the Faithfuls keeping a watchful eye on Kate and letting Alex off the hook.
The closer we get to the finale, the more intense the competition gets. Everyone wants to win the prize, and if a Traitor makes it to the very end, they’ll keep the entire amount to themselves.
If you’re completely lost and not really sure how the game works, let us summarise it for you.
24 players, known as Faithfuls, initially entered the competition and lived together in a hotel, where they took part in challenges in the hopes of walking away with a prize pool of silver bars, valued up to $250,000.
As they progressed further in the game, they also had to figure out who amongst them were Traitors in hiding.
Each episode saw a Traitor “murder” a Faithful in the night, automatically eliminating them from the game. Some players, on the other hand, were kicked off the show during the Banishment Ceremony, which is an opportunity for the Faithfuls to figure out who the Traitors are so they can banish them from the competition.
If a Traitor manages to make it to the end undetected, they take home the entire amount. However, if a Faithful is able to expose a Traitor and get rid of them before the final vote, they have the option to take all the prize money or share it with their remaining Faithful.
So, pretty much Among Us but with real people and a lot more at stake.
When Is The Traitors Grand Finale?
It all comes to an end on Sunday, November 13. Tune in to Channel 10 at 7.30pm to see who takes home the prize.
