The Real Love Boat: Get Ready to Swoon Paul’s French Accent (and Big Muscles)

If you love love, if you love dating shows on boats, if you love sexy singles and glam European destinations, then buckle up babes!

Where’s Bachie gone? No one knows. Instead, 10 is giving us a brand new dating show that’s essentially Love Island on a boat, and we’re not mad about it.

The Real Love Boat — inspired by the 1976 sitcom — takes place aboard the Princess Cruises ship, Regal Princess, and will see 20 Australian singles travel the seas, looking for love.

Destination dates and surprise singles will test the couples’ compatibility and chemistry. Like the beloved original scripted series, The Love Boat, the indispensable crew members will play pivotal roles in the matchmaking and navigation of the romantic (and sometimes turbulent) waters ahead.

Hosted by Darren McMullen, with Cruise Director Hannah Ferrier, Head of Entertainment Daniel Doody, and Princess Cruises’ Captain Paolo
Arrigo, our eligible Aussies will be guided through the murky waters of love as they explore Spain, Greece, France, Italy, Turkey and Montenegro.

NTB, right?

One of the babes embarking on this cruise for love is 28-year-old Paul Antoine, a beautiful French man who now lives in Western Australia.

Born in Nice, Paul then grew up in a smaller town called Villefranche
sur Mer. Oooh la la.

He’s excited to see if he can make a strong connection and find true love. In a potential partner, Paul looks for certain qualities, but what is most important to him is a down to earth nature, and someone who is beautiful on the inside and out.

“I’m attracted to authenticity, and people with warm personalities,” he says in a press statement.

Paul is clean and organised, is a great cook, and can speak French – but is this enough to find his perfect match? Oui, we think.

“My dream date would be the date that makes me forget that I’m on one,” he says.

“Long chats about our lives, past, present and future. I like it when things are spontaneous, and haven’t been planned ahead too much.”

The Real Love Boat airs weekly at 8.30pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, only on 10 and 10 Play. Miss an episode? Catch up on 10 Play on Demand.
