After a totally wild season of The Masked Singer Australia, the singing and dancing competition has come to an end.
Mirrorball, Rooster and Snapdragon were the last three Masks to remain standing. After Rooster and Snapdragon were revealed to be Hugh Sheridan and Sheldon Riley, that left Mirrorball as the winner.
The three sang their hearts out, hitting all the right notes and not missing a single beat, but in the end, only one could be crowned the champion, and tonight was Mirrorball’s night.
The singer behind the dazzling costume was none other than Pussycat Dolls’ Melody Thornton.
The judges couldn’t believe it, especially Dave Hughes, who, for the first time, made a correct guess.
Abbie Chatfield guessed Hilary Duff, and Mel B thought it was Samantha Jade.
Melody’s win comes after betting site Sportsbet predicted that Mirrorball would take home the title, with odds currently having placed at $1.20.
The website also correctly guessed that Mirrorball was Melody Thornton.
This year, The Masked Singer Australia saw stars such as Lisa Curry, Emma Watkins and Shannon Noll take part.
It was also the first year Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan and Mel B sat as panellists on the show.
Last year, international pop star Anastacia was crowned the winner, and the year before that, it was actress Bonnie Anderson.
Congratulations Mirrorball!
