We’ve Rounded Up the Clues and Found Out When The Masked Singer Premieres!

Grab your detective gear because we finally have a date for The Masked Singer!

Australia’s most bizarre musical show is returning to screens, and it’s looking to be a big one.

Judging by the trailer, the performances this year are bigger and better than ever, and not to mention, for the first time since the COVID pandemic hit, the show has brought back its live audience!

As expected, this year’s season has some wild and wacky costumes, with characters like a Snapdragon, Microphone and a Rooster wearing a suit.

Osher Günsberg will be returning to host the show alongside an entirely new panel of judges.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, Urzila Carlson and Dannii Minogue have been replaced by Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan and ‘Scary Spice’ Mel B.

Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes is the only OG judge to remain and will be back with a slew of inaccurate and ridiculous guesses.

In a press statement, Mel B revealed how excited she was to join The Masked Singer panel, saying: “Hello Australia. I have missed you so much but I am back and I can’t wait to get the party started with Hughesy, Abbie and Chrissie.”

She continued: “Let me tell you though, I am the best-ever game player and I have something up my sleeve that none of these guys have … I’ve hidden behind these masks as a competitor not once but twice.

“So I’m bringing all my secret inside knowledge to this. But more to the point, I’m bringing the fun. Fasten your seatbelts, everyone, it’s going to be a rollercoaster ride.”

Chatfield was also on the same page, saying she was “thrilled to be joining the panel!”

“I’m the first to say I can be competitive, and I’m so ready to put my pop culture knowledge to the test and guess who is under the mask,” she added. “Bring on the clues!”

So, When Does The Masked Singer Start?

The Masked Singer Australia will premiere on Sunday, August 7th, at 7.30pm, on Channel 10 and 10play.
