The D'Amelios Are Getting Their Own Show on Hulu, and WOW, Is This Exciting, Y'all
This is not a drill: the D’Amelios are getting their own show, and we’re buzzing with excitement at getting a look into their day to day. As major fans of Charli and Dixie D’Amelio‘s viral TikTok videos, where they dance to songs like “Donk” by Soulja Boy Tell’em and “OHFR” by Rico Nasty, engage with followers through “put a finger down” quizzes, and allow a glimpse into their personal lives, we really can’t get over the news. The upcoming show is going to take a deep dive into their family dynamic, featuring not just Charli and Dixie but also bringing in their parents, Marc and Heidi, too. Giving us all the details on their new life, this eight-part docuseries will highlight the sisters’ rise to fame and what that means for the family as a whole. Ready to learn more? Ahead, find out everything we know about The D’Amelio Show so far, plus how to watch it.
When and Where Will The D'Amelio Show Premiere?
We can hardly wait to see the inner workings of Charli and Dixie’s lives as they navigate newfound fame, but at least for now, patience is key. The docuseries is scheduled for a 2021 debut, with no specific date announced just yet. The waiting game will be worth it, though! The show will premiere on Hulu and will only be available on the streaming service. It will join a growing number of unscripted series on the platform, including the Kardashian-Jenners’ new, much-buzzed-about show, as well as Planet Sex with Cara Delevingne.
Who Will Appear on the Show?
Apart from Charli and Dixie, the show will also heavily feature the sisters’ parents, Marc and Heidi. A crucial part of the series, the parents will be shown attempting to navigate their rapid change in lifestyle while still trying to maintain their same family values. Raising teenagers is hard enough as it is, but Marc and Heidi must also battle with the darker side of fame, shield their daughters from harm, and try to keep a sense of normalcy in their home. Even more, the series will show the parents attempting to get used to the spotlight themselves.
What Will the Show Focus On?
The D’Amelios’ upcoming show will hone in on the sisters’ meteoric rise to fame and what that means for the whole family. Charli and Dixie were born and raised in Norwalk, CT, living a normal life until being catapulted into the limelight overnight. Now in LA, the entire family must deal with new challenges, incredible opportunities, and navigating a combined 250 million followers. Dancing, relationships, friends, and internet drama all come into play, as Dixie also pursues her blossoming music career. Moreover, the series will bring to light all kinds of things we don’t know about the family: just like dad Marc said in the show’s press release, “many people create impressions of us based off of short content, a few minutes or even seconds. But now, we’re looking forward to sharing a side that you likely don’t get to see on our social channels.”
