This week The Block: Fans vs Faves is dealing with the biggest scandal the show has ever witnessed.
After twins Josh and Luke won the master bedroom challenge, Ronnie and Georgia accused them of being in possession of a photo of The Block’s production schedule.
“Guess it helps to cheat,” said Ronnie. “I mean it’s amazing that they know the full schedule, what rooms are coming up, and they know what challenge days are coming up. So, I guess it helps to cheat.”
It was then the producer of the show interjected, asking Ronnie, “do you think they found out some way?”
“They’ve known from day one,” said Ronnie adamantly. “I know for a fact.”
Since then, the entire scandal has blown up, with Tanya admitting to sending Luke the photo, but only because an unknown tradie first sent it to her and she wanted to know if anyone else had received it.
But the other contestants aren’t buying it, with Mitch and Mark, in particular, calling foul on the entire situation.
After telling the couple she immediately deleted the photo, Mark doubled down, questioning her integrity.
“I work in psychology, I’ve been doing it for 30 years,” Mark says to Tanya. “I can smell BS when I smell it.”
Tanya, who was reduced to tears, told Mark that she’s trying her best to be “upfront”.
But Mitch and Mark weren’t the only ones not buying Tanya’s story.
“I call bullshit on the apology because she still has not taken ownership,” said Ronnie.
“I didn’t believe her, I can tell when someone is lying to my face, and that’s how I felt after that situation,” said Kirsty.
However, Jesse gave her the benefit of the doubt, saying everything that has transpired was just a mistake.
“I don’t think she would lie to our face like that,” said Jesse.
Meanwhile, Josh told producers that he has “nothing to apologise for” and was glad Tanya was taking ownership of the entire incident.
Things took an even more dramatic turn after Tanya called the contestants “pigs”, and it was evident, the drama ain’t over yet.
