Last week, we witnessed Jimmy asking Ashleigh to leave the competition, but this time, the roles have been reversed.
In what could only be described as a shock exit, Tatum took Jimmy to the side to let him know that she wants to leave the competition.
“I’ve sort of been here long enough to know how I feel,” she said.
“I think you’re an amazing guy and you have amazing qualities, I think at this point I’d like to go home. I just feel like I wouldn’t be true to myself if I stayed here any longer.”
The admission clearly took Jimmy by surprise, as he wasn’t expecting a bachelorette to voluntarily leave the competition.
“I was completely blindsided by Tatum tonight,” said Jimmy.
But despite being left shellshocked, Jimmy understood where she was coming from, admitting the environment of The Bachelor can be difficult to deal with.
“I really appreciate that you’re honest with me. I am disappointed, I think you’re an amazing girl,” he told Tatum.
He went on to acknowledge that they may have been able to form a connection if they met outside of the show, but since so many other women are also fighting for him, he wasn’t able to get to know her as well as he wanted to.
“If she wasn’t feeling it, she wasn’t feeling it. I respect that”
As she walked away from the mansion, the girls were left stunned, with Laura bursting into tears.
“What the f*** just happened,” said Laura.
Stevie was also sent home, as she wasn’t given a rose from Jimmy.
