HBO Max’s Sweet Life: Los Angeles, which premiered on Aug. 19, absolutely delivers when it comes to the drama we expect from an unscripted series. Since it follows a group of friends in their mid-20s as they navigate the highs and lows of adulthood, it obviously had to include glimpses into their love lives. While some couples have been together since high school, like Cheryl Des Vignes and Jerrold Smith II, others are still trying to figure out where they stand romantically. Does this mean that everyone has to pair up? No, because after all, it’s a reality series not a dating show. If you’re still trying to make sense of the relationships on Sweet Life: Los Angeles, ahead we’ve broken down the most important ones to remember.

Cheryl Des Vignes and Jerrold Smith II
At the beginning of Sweet Life: Los Angeles, high school sweethearts Cheryl and Jerrold have been together for eight years and are already planning a future together. While Cheryl is ready for marriage, Jerrold isn’t quite at that stage just yet. The rest of the group considers the couple “relationship goals.”

Rebecca "Becky" Magett and Jordan Bentley
When discussing relationships with Jerrold Smith II and P’Jae Compton, Jordan reveals that he and Becky had a thing but that he’s currently into Briana Jones. Becky later tells Briana that she went through “a talking phase” with Jordan but doesn’t like him like that, clearing the way for Briana and Jordan.

Tylynn Burns and Jaylenn Hart
As Tylynn says on the show, Jaylenn is her first “serious serious relationship” after being single for seven years and her friends think that she’s met her match. The couple was together a year and a half before they moved in together, but Tylynn says they’re still just getting to know each other.

Rebecca "Becky" Magett and P’Jae Compton
One of the more dramatic potential couples on the series, Becky and P’Jae aren’t on the same page when it comes to where their feelings lie. Prior to the show, Becky tried to avoid P’Jae since she’d had a talking phase with his friend, Jordan Bentley. Now P’Jae feels he “has an understanding” with Becky, but Becky is straightforward with the fact she likes him. Only time will tell whether or not they’ll actually end up together.

Jordan Bentley and Briana Jones
Initially, Briana is not interested in Jordan due to his past relationship with her best friend, Becky Magett. However, once she finds out that Becky has feelings for P’Jae Compton and doesn’t like Jordan, things between the two begin to heat up. Their love bubble doesn’t last long as Jordan tells Briana to “chill on the PDA in front of everybody” during Amanda Scott’s birthday.

P'Jae Compton and Briana Jones
While all of Briana’s friends think something is going on between her and
P’Jae, she maintains that the two are just friends. Later, she finds out that he once had a thing with her best friend, Becky Magett, and that Becky still has feelings for P’Jae. This turns Briana off from anything romantic with P’Jae, who seems to not know what he wants.
HBO Max
Robert Lee and Amanda Scott
Tylynn Burns refers to Robert as one of Amanda’s first long-term boyfriends. While the duo have a small argument over Myami’s arrival at Amanda’s birthday bash, Robert sets up a spa day for the couple so they can spend some alone time together. This shows that the two get each other and Amanda refers to Robert as her “peace.” While the couple is close, Amanda doesn’t believe that they’re ready for marriage yet.
HBO Max
Myami and P'Jae Compton
Myami is P’Jae’s surprise guest to Amanda Scott’s 25th birthday weekend and confuses the rest of the group as to what their relationship is. After Myami gets into an argument with Becky Magett over whether or not there’s something romantic going on with P’Jae, she leaves the Palm Springs, CA house early.
