It’s America’s favourite pastime. Super Bowl Sunday is considered to be one of the biggest sporting events of the year, and along with the match itself, it’s the post-game celebrations, half-time show and even the TV advertisements that many wait for all year long. But you don’t have to be from the US to enjoy the Super Bowl, so we have all the details on where you can watch the action unfold.
Channel 7, 7Mate and ESPN will televise the event live from the US from 9.30am (AEST) on Monday, February 14. But if you have plans and can’t be in front of a television during that time, streaming service Kayo will not only have live coverage from 9:00am, but they’ll have a replay available to watch later in the day.
This year, the Cincinnati Bengals will verse the Los Angeles Rams, marking 2022 as the first time Cincinnati has reached the Super Bowl in over 30 years.
The last time the LA Rams played in the Super Bowl was in 2019, where they lost to the New England Patriots.
But if NFL isn’t really you’re thing then be sure to tune in to the half-time show where fans can expect to see a star-studded lineup perform, including Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
The Super Bowl halftime performance is nothing short of incredible. Previously, singers such as Beyonce and Bruno Mars have taken to the stage, with the most recent being The Weeknd, who fronted the show last year.
In fact, the ‘Blinding Lights’ singer (real name Abel Tesfaye) actually spent USD $9 million of his own hard-earned cash to take on the coveted job of halftime headliner. The move not only kept attendees and at-home viewers of the event entertained but the internet as a whole with a slew of hilarious memes being spawned about the unique performance.
The Super Bowl is set to air from 9.30am (AEST) on February 14 on Channel 7, 7Mate and ESPN, and 9:00am on Kayo.
