Spring Break Falls to Pieces in the Full “Stranger Things” Season 4 Trailer
“Stranger Things” season four will be released in two volumes on May 27 and July 1, respectively. After months of waiting, fans can finally watch the full trailer for season four of the hit Netflix show. The new trailer comes amid news that the series will wrap with season five. “This summer, every ending, has a beginning,” the trailer says, so it seems season four is setting up a massive finale for the show’s last season.
The trailer seem to give answers to some of the biggest questions from the season three finale, like who was the mysterious “American” and where did Joyce move her kids. But the question remains: will Eleven will ever recover her powers? Those mysteries will likely remain until the show returns with season four, but in the meantime, we’re here to speculate right along with you.
The series creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, have shared that season four will expand the show’s scope even further, outside of Hawkins, IN. Matt told “Entertainment Weekly,” “I think the biggest thing that’s going to happen is it’s going to open up a little bit, not necessarily in terms of scale, in terms of special effects, but open up in terms of allowing plotlines into areas outside of Hawkins.”
As we wait for volume one of “Stranger Things” season four to drop, keep reading to preview what’s ahead!
What Is the Plot of Season 4 of "Stranger Things"?
Netflix released a plot summary on Feb. 4 that reads, “It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”
Who Is in the Cast of "Stranger Thing" Season 4?
Most of the cast is returning, including Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, and Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley.
Though Jim Hopper (David Harbour) died in season three, the character has been seen in teasers for the new season. It’s not clear how he’s still alive, but it seems he has a brutal path ahead of him.
