‘That’s a Wrap’: Sophie Monk and Joshua Gross Celebrate Their Engagement Party at Home
Sophie Monk and her fiancé Joshua Gross have celebrated their engagement party over the weekend in an intimate gathering at their home in Helensvale on the Gold Coast.
The theme of the evening was black, silver and white with Monk wearing a gorgeous floor length silver gown and Gross wearing a black suit and tie.
The couple had a photo wall to match their styling covered in silver and white balloons as well as fairy lights that adorned the entrance of their home, sharing snap shots of their evening with friends and family on Instagram stories.
Gross also shared a photo of their adorable cake, made by his mother that was decorated with an action figure and Barbie doll to represent the couple. Cute!
Monk confirmed her engagement to Gross in January, following reports by Woman’s Day that the pair had decided to take the next step in their relationship after dating for two and a half years.
“Told you I’d tell you guys first I’m engaged. I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the love and support. I know I have the coolest people following me and you’ve always had my back and I feel so cared about,” Monk wrote on Instagram.
“You’re absolute bloody legends. I’m not very good at being mushy. I’m trying to say I absolutely adore you. Joshua and I are so happy. Josh designed a very personal ring with my favourite Aussie designer Luke Rose Jewellery and I LOVE IT.”
The pair began dating after Monk ran into Gross during a chance meeting on a plane in 2018.
“I had just finished filming Love Island in Mallorca and was on my way to San Francisco for a random TV gig with Channel Nine when I made a last-minute decision to go back to Australia,” told the Sydney Morning Herald.
“I sat next to Josh in business class and we started chatting. About two hours into the flight, I asked him if he was single. He responded yes. I then asked if I could kiss him. I was clearly out of practice and a bit of a nerd so I went to brush my teeth and thought, ‘Let’s do this.’ We had 16 hours to go.”
Congrats to the happy couple and bring on the wedding!
