A second trailer for Marvel’s Disney+ Nick Fury series, “Secret Invasion,” is here, along with the show’s long-awaited premiere date.
Disney released the show’s first teaser during D23 Expo on Sept. 10, 2022. In the footage, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) meets with Col. Rhodey Rhodes (Don Cheadle) to discuss the Skrull invasion, which Rhodey reveals he already knew about. The alien race are using their advanced shapeshifting abilities to infiltrate earth undetected. The rest of the action-packed trailer also features first looks at Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman in action in the MCU, plus fan favorites like Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). The latest trailer, released on April 3, 2023 – much like “Secret Invasion”‘s first trailers – continues to tease a markedly darker tone than most Marvel releases.
“Secret Invasion” is part of Marvel’s Phase Five, which also includes “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” “Daredevil: Born Again,” and “Captain America: New World Order.” The series, which will consist of six episodes, will also see the reappearance of a number of Marvel characters from various features, though whether they’re the real characters or Skrulls remains to be seen. Marvel head Kevin Feige also revealed that the series will lead into another upcoming Marvel project – the Disney+ series “Armor Wars.”
Ahead, learn more about the “Secret Invasion” cast, trailers, release date, plot, and more.
