Sabrina Carpenter has been working late, not just because she’s a singer, but because she’s been hard at work on her new album.
After taking over the charts with her viral single Espresso, the pop sensation announced the impending release of her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet. Set to drop soon, this highly anticipated LP will be preceded by several singles.
Carpenter shared the exciting news via Instagram on June 3, posting the album cover — a photo of herself with a lipstick mark on the back of her shoulder — along with a heartfelt caption.
“I am so excited to announce my brand new album Short n’ Sweet coming in August. This project is quite special to me and I hope it’ll be something special to you too,” she wrote. “I also have a surprise coming for you on Thursday night so keep an eye out.”

How Many Albums Has Sabrina Carpenter Released?
The newly announced project will be Sabrina Carpenter’s sixth full-length album. Her previous LPs include Emails I Can’t Send, Singular Act I and Act II, Eyes Wide Open, and EVOLution. She has also released two EPs, Fruitcake and Can’t Blame a Girl For Trying.
We can expect the upcoming record to sound a bit different from Carpenter’s previous work. Reflecting on the songwriting process in her Interview Magazine cover story earlier this year, the 25-year-old noted, “I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I’m making now because I’ve realised that genre isn’t necessarily the most important thing.”
She added, “It’s about honesty and authenticity and whatever you gravitate towards. There were a lot of genres in my last album, and I like to think I’ll continue that throughout writing music.”

What Is Sabrina Carpenter’s Upcoming Album Called?
Sabrina Carpenter’s sixth album is called Short n’ Sweet. The name appears to be a nod to Carpenter herself, who stands at roughly 5 feet tall.
Before she announced the project, fans noticed billboards featuring tweets about her height. The preorder description on her website also highlights her petite stature: “Short n’ Sweet showcases the scintillating spirit of Sabrina Carpenter, the pocket-sized pop star with a larger-than-life artistic presence.”
Short n’ Sweet Track List
While Sabrina Carpenter hasn’t yet released the full track list for her new album, we do know the names of two songs. The first is her chart-topping hit Espresso, which will be on the album and served as its first single.
Carpenter has also announced that her second single is called Please Please Please, which has been stuck in our heads for weeks now.
Short n’ Sweet Release Date
Short n’ Sweet will be released on August 23, 2024.
Will Sabrina Carpenter Tour?
With the new album on the way, there’s been a lot of speculation about a possible tour. Earlier this year, while in Australia supporting Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour, Carpenter confirmed she would be returning Down Under for her own headline shows in 2024. However, she has yet to officially announce a tour or confirm dates.
