Rebel Wilson is living her best life and we’re so here for it.
In the past few years, she seems to have really found herself and come into her own, embarking on a health journey, producing some epic movies and now, coming out as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” Wilson captioned a selfie on Instagram, with new boo Ramona Agruma.
She hashtagged the post #loveislove and we really couldn’t agree more.
Back May, Wilson teased that she was “happily” in a relationship but did not reveal who with.
“I am now happily in a relationship,” she said on Jordana Abraham and Jared Freid’s podcast U Up. “I met them at a friend’s setup.”
She chatted about looking for love on dating apps, but that ultimately, the person she was with now had been introduced to her through a friend.
“I was on and off on the Raya app, but this was a friend setup,” she said. “He had known both of us for at least five years and he thought we would hit it off — and then we did!”
Although this may be the official hard launch of their relationship, the pair actually attended the Vanity Fair Oscars Party together back in March, with Wilson taking Agruma as her plus-one. They also attended an even in Park City Utah back in April, on behalf of Operation Smile.
While the two have actually appeared in heaps of photos together on Wilson’s Instagram, most assumed the pair were just close friends. With this announcement, though, their romance is clear and we just love love so much!
Wilson last dated Jacob Busch, but the pair split in early 2021. She was then linked to tennis player Matt Reid.
Who Is Ramona Agruma?
Although Ramona’s Instagram on private, her bio states that she is a fashion designer and entrepreneur, and founder of LEMON VE LIMON, a sustainable clothing company in Los Angeles.
She is also a brand ambassador for Bee Goddess Jewellery, which is described as the “World’s First Talismanic Fine Jewellery” and is deeply connected to spirituality.
In May, Rebel spoke with PEOPLE about her new partner, but did not reveal who they were.
“We spoke on the phone for weeks before meeting,” she said.
“And that was a really good way to get to know each other. It was a bit old-school in that sense — very romantic.”
“I think going through the process of finding more self-worth, I think that what you want in a partner is elevated, and so it’s great to have someone who feels like an equal partner and be in a healthy relationship,” she continued.
“There were times — I’m not saying with all my exes, they’re great — but there were some times that I was probably putting up with that I shouldn’t have.
“So it feels different to be in a really healthy relationship.”
It’s really amazing to be hearing stories of healthy LGBTQIA+ relationships and stories, especially during Pride Month.
