Prince Louis Couldn’t Hide His Boredom at His Grandfather King Charles III’s Coronation

The royal family celebrated King Charles III’s coronation on May 6, and as per usual, the next generation stole the show. The youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton in particular displayed a series of hilarious facial expressions throughout the ceremony that formalized his grandfather’s position as head of the Church of England – the first of its kind in 70 years. Prince Louis, 5, has been known to let his adorable expressions do the talking at past royal events, and this occasion was no different.

Wearing a smart navy blue suit, the little boy was seen letting out several yawns, staring up at the ceiling, and chatting with his sister Charlotte during the event. Frankly, he looked quite bored by the festivities, sitting between mom Princess Kate and his 8-year-old sister. It appears Louis left for the second half of the service, ahead of the carriage procession to Buckingham Palace. Middleton and Prince William’s oldest son, 9-year-old George, served as one of the king’s pages of honor, while Charlotte and Louis walked into Westminster Abbey with their parents.

Prince Louis last made a splash at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant in June 2022. His goofy behavior was on display throughout the event’s grand celebration, causing many memes to ensue.
