With the recent release of Hamiltonon Disney+, longtime fans of the 2015 musical and new audiences alike are now able to rewatch the Tony-winning show as many times as they like. Yet, one can only cry their eyes out to “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” so many times before they crave seeing the brilliant, original cast of the show do something new (and perhaps less heart-wrenching). Phillipa Soo, aka Eliza, has been in many wonderful projects since her iconic performance on the Richard Rogers stage. Here’s where Soo has been since she took her last bow!

Amélie (2017)
In 2017, Soo starred in the titular role of Amélie, a musical adaption of the popular 2001 French movie. A romantic comedy, this show features the dazzling actress in a far more upbeat and whimsical tone. She has an abundance of fun solos in this show like “Sister’s Pickle” and “Times Are Hard For Dreamers.” While you cannot catch the show on Broadway anymore, the original cast recordings of the songs are available on iTunes, Spotify, and so forth.
The Parisian Woman (2017)
After Amélie, Soo returned to Broadway in the same year with the role of Rebecca in The Parisian Woman. The show revolves around main character Chloe, played by Uma Thurman during Soo’s run, who is a witty and entertaining socialite as she details her past, her marriage, politics, and the uncertain future that lies ahead. This show is not a musical, but maybe that’s even better because it lets audiences admire Soo’s Juilliard acting chops.
