“Only Murders in the Building” is ready to embark on its next murder-mystery adventure with season two. The hit comedy series returns for its second installment on June 28, and it’s already teasing some interesting tidbits. In a May interview with Vanity Fair, showrunner and cocreator John Hoffman dished on everything we can expect in the upcoming season – including how season one’s shocking finale with Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin), and Oliver (Martin Short) sets it up.
“Do you try and exonerate yourself, or do you take advantage of this weird New York–famous moment that happens, where you’re on the front pages?” Hoffman said of “Only Murders in the Building“‘s central trio. For most breakout shows, it’s hard to follow up such great success with another action-packed season that meets viewers’ expectations. But with new stars and celebrity cameos in the show’s second season, the mystery that will unfold sounds even more exciting.
This season, “Suicide Squad” star Cara Delevingne joins as a series regular; her character will be entangled with Gomez’s. Other stars confirmed for season two include Amy Schumer and Shirley MacLaine. Read more about their roles ahead.
