This year is set to be an amazing one for K-pop. So many major labels have announced they’re debuting new groups soon. Big Hit Music, which is home to artists like BTS and TXT, already has a new roster lined up for its next big boy band, while YG Entertainment is reportedly in the process of launching its first girl group since Blackpink in 2016. That’s not all, because SM Entertainment also has plans for a new NCT sub-unit this year that will be based in the United States. Since it may be hard to keep up with everything that’s coming, here are 12 K-pop groups debuting in 2022 that you absolutely need to keep on your radar.

During the LOUD finale, which aired in September 2021, Yoon Min, Amaru, Keiju, Lee Gye Hun, and Lee Dong Hyeon were selected to debut as JYP Entertainment’s upcoming boy group, which is rumored to debut in the second half of 2022.

Baby Monster (YG Entertainment)
Baby Monster (or BaeMon for short) will mark YG Entertainment’s first girl group since Blackpink’s debut in August 2016, making them one of the most highly anticipated K-pop acts of 2022. Not much is known about the group yet, however, like which members will be part of its lineup and when they’ll debut.
