It turns out that Tulisa Contostavlos has taken a leaf out of “Too Hot To Handle”‘s book after being celibate for two years. During an appearance on “The Zeze Millz Show” on YouTube, the N-Dubz star revealed that she does’t “shag” her dates, and instead – like the cone-shaped speaker from the dating series tells us – focuses on creating a genuine connection with her partners.
“I don’t date, I court,” she began on the podcast. “I have been celibate for the past two years so no sex before monogamy.” This means that the “Young” hitmaker chooses not to be sexually intimate with a partner until they’re official, rather than sleeping with someone during casual dates or hookups. Of course, it’s worth noting that there is no right or wrong way to decide if or when to have sex with a date – it should be a consensual decision between all parties involved.
Contostavlos continued: “So, basically you are courting because you like to build friendships before you start dating, you just don’t shag them and you get to know them.” She added: “I have got friendships that I am building.”
The musician – who performs alongside her cousin Dappy, born Costadinos Contostavlos, and Frazer, born Richard Rawson – has previously been linked to Cher’s music producer David King, and multi-millionaire Costas Panayiotou. She has also publicly dated The Wanted’s Max George, actor Jody Latham, and her bandmate Rawson. Her revelation comes as the group have recently released their new 16-track album “Timeless”, off the back of their reunion tour last year following an 11-year hiatus.
