“The Nun II”, September 7
Building upon the sinister lore established in the first film, this sequel promises to take us on another terrifying journey into the world of the unholy.
In “The Nun II,” we will once again follow Sister Irene, the brave lead character from the first film, as she confronts the nightmarish entity known as Valak. The demon, known for its malevolence and ability to terrify, returns to test the limits of faith and courage.
As the sequel unfolds, we can expect more heart-pounding moments, hair-raising scares, and an exploration of the unholy origins of Valak. The battle between Sister Irene and the demonic force promises to be a spine-chilling spectacle that will leave audiences at the edge of their seats. I’ve booked my tickets already, have you?
“A Haunting in Venice”, September 14
Get ready for another thrilling instalment in Kenneth Branagh’s Poirot franchise, where a star-studded cast meets a spine-tingling horror twist. “A Haunting in Venice” takes us on a journey based on Agatha Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party.”
Kenneth Branagh reprises his role as detective Hercule Poirot, following the success of “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Death on the Nile.” However, this time, Poirot finds himself delving into a realm of the supernatural.
In “A Haunting in Venice,” Poirot is drawn back into the world of mysteries when he’s tasked with unravelling a murder that occurred during a séance. While the first two films in the series brought us standard murder mysteries adapted from Christie’s renowned classics, this latest instalment shakes up the formula by delving into deep-cut source material and introducing a supernatural twist.

“Blue Beetle”, September 14
DC Comics fans, get ready to meet a new superhero! In this live-action adaptation, the film takes us on a journey into the life of Jaime, a freshly minted college graduate who returns home filled with dreams and aspirations for his future. However, his bright outlook takes a sharp turn when he discovers that his family is on the brink of losing their cherished home.
With its mix of humour, heart, and high-flying action, “Blue Beetle” promises to be a ripper addition to the superhero genre. Get ready to root for this fresh face in the DC Universe.
“It Lives Inside”, September 21
Now this is one horror movie I have very high hopes for. The trailer alone will send chills down your spine. In “It Lives Inside”, Indian-American high school student Sam yearns to blend in with her peers, distancing herself from her heritage.
However, when her reclusive friend Tamira carries a mysterious jar, Sam’s curiosity leads to an ominous release. To combat the unleashed evil, Sam must reconnect with her roots and confront the supernatural horrors, exploring themes of identity, friendship, and the dark forces that lurk within us.

“Retribution”, September 21
Liam Neeson is back in action mode in “Retribution,” where he plays a character driven by revenge and the need to protect his family. As an Irish actor known for his iconic roles in action films, Neeson takes on the challenge once again.
This time, he faces an unhinged bomber who targets his family. The film promises intense car chases reminiscent of “Speed” as Neeson races against time to uncover the threat and ensure his family’s safety in a high-stakes battle of wits and action.

“Saw X”, September 28
Prepare for another round of mind-bending, gut-wrenching traps in “Saw X.” The film is poised to offer fans of the franchise a gruesome journey that unfolds between “Saw” and “Saw II.” This in-between chapter delves once more into the twisted mind of the iconic killer, John ‘Jigsaw’ Kramer.
As we’re aware, Jigsaw was grappling with terminal cancer, and in “Saw X,” he embarks on a desperate trip to Mexico in pursuit of an experimental procedure that might offer a cure. However, his hopes are cruelly dashed when the operation turns out to be a hoax. This deception triggers another round of Jigsaw’s elaborately grotesque murder spree, targeting those behind the scam.
If you can stomach it, you will be able to book your tickets here.
“The Creator”, September 28
For those intrigued by the world of artificial intelligence, “The Creator” offers a thought-provoking cinematic experience. Starring John David Washington and Gemma Chan, the film paints a dystopian picture of a post-apocalyptic future where humans and artificial intelligence (AI) are locked in a war for supremacy.
The story centres on a human protagonist who defies violence and seeks to protect an AI child, exploring themes of compassion, ethics, and the blurred lines between humanity and technology in a thought-provoking narrative.
You can book your tickets here closer to the release date.
