First announced by Netflix in December 2020, the streaming giant shared the first look at the Korean remake on Jan. 17, 2022, in a one-minute-12-second promo that showed off its cast members and official English title. While the teaser says it’s coming soon and Netflix confirmed “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” is slated for a 2022 release, it stopped short of tying the project to a premiere date.
With the production having started last year, it’s likely “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” is wrapped up or currently in the postproduction phase. The international series is likely to hit Netflix in the first half of 2022, right in time for the summer.

The teaser revealed the actors behind the eagerly awaited series alongside their characters’ aliases.
