Molly-Mae Hague Steps Down as Creative Director at Pretty Little Thing
Molly-Mae Hague has stepped down as Creative Director at Pretty Little Thing. Ditching her reported six-figure salary, the influencer told her YouTube subscribers the news on 21 June. “There is actually one quite big thing that I probably should talk about,” she began. “I haven’t posted anything about it yet but I’m probably going to post about it when this video goes live.”
“Basically a lot of people have been asking me about [my] PLT creative director [role] and how’s the role going,” she continued. “Everything’s going incredibly with PLT, I literally have the most insane relationship with PLT they’re literally my family. Still working with them, still doing collections, still doing edits, but I’ve actually decided to step down from my Creative Director role.”
Discussing her reason behind the change, Hague added: “I’ve realised that I’m only going to get this time once with my firstborn child. I’m only going to get Bambi being four months old once. I just feel like I have had to just rearrange my life a little bit and lose some commitments I did have.”
Back in April, the mum-of-one returned to work in the role after giving birth to Bambi in January. The “Love Island” star took to her Instagram story on 5 April to share herself at the Pretty Little Thing HQ in Manchester. “Back like I never left,” the influencer wrote, as she panned around the pink Instagram-worthy office, which also featured a snap of her modelling on a billboard.
She was welcomed back with a stunning bouquet of flowers from her colleagues, sharing a picture of her thoughtful gift online. Hague also posted a picture of herself hard at work at the office on “a very rainy Wednesday” at the time, where she was snapped looking effortlessly stylish in a white T-shirt, brown leather jacket and a slew of gold jewellery.
Hague welcomed baby Bambi five months ago, and has been sharing her experiences as a first-time mum ever since. She recently shared Bambi’s huge milestone on her Instagram story, and tagged her boxer boyfriend, Tommy Fury, to share the moment with. But she has also been real about some of the struggles she’s faced. Two months ago, Hague posted a video on her YouTube channel, aptly titled “the truth”, in which she gave a very emotional rundown of what her early days with her newborn have looked like.
Hague is now embarking on a new journey as a working mum (albeit without the fancy title) whilst still getting to grips with motherhood. Here’s to Hague bossing it in both her personal and professional life, and making the right decision for her and her family.
