Molly-Mae Hague Shares the Reality of Holidaying With a Newborn: “Milk-Stained and Unshowered”
Life is a holiday if you’re Molly-Mae Hague, and it seems that baby Bambi is also enjoying the jet-setting lifestyle. Since baby Bambi’s arrival on 23 Jan., Hague travelled to Nice for a PrettyLittleThing photoshoot, and visited Dubai last month with her boyfriend, Tommy Fury, and their daughter. The family of three flew business class and it looked like Bambi took the getaway in her stride, as Hague posted a photo of her chilling in a yellow dress and sunnies while cuddling up to her mum on a yacht.
And now, Hague has headed off on her next trip away to Barbados, with Fury and four-month-old Bambi in tow. “Off on our next adventure,” she captioned a sweet picture on her Instagram Story of herself and her baby snuggling in an aeroplane. The former “Love Island” star was looking airport chic whilst posing in a white bomber jacket from Zara, with a French braid in her hair.
Although the couple might be holidaying it up in the Caribbean island for Hague’s manager Francesca Britton’s upcoming wedding, their trip away definitely isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Hague shared the reality of jet-setting with a newborn on her latest Instagram Story on 2 June, writing: “Milk-stained and unshowered…But the start of another day in paradise with my dream girl.” Whilst Hague may have had her hair thrown up into a messy bun, and stains on her oversized brown loungewear, she still made the most of the memories with her daughter. She danced around with Bambi on their hotel balcony like no-one was watching, and enjoyed the island breeze as they shared kisses and cuddles.
Hague and Fury have been regularly sharing updates of their new addition, from Easter lunches to their first Mother’s Day together, which involved a suite at the posh Corinthia hotel in London. But if there’s anyone we can count on to tell the truth about mum-life, it’s the “Love Island” star.
Amongst the fancy holidays and Instagram-worthy smiles, Hague has opened up about the struggles she’s faced since giving birth. In a particularly candid video posted on her YouTube channel, she revealed she was screaming for an ambulance a few days after Bambi arrived. She also spoke of how she had to parent alone for the first month as Fury was preparing for a boxing match against Jake Paul (which Fury won and dedicated his victory to his new daughter). “The first four weeks of Bambi’s life I really did do by myself and I was home alone with her. I pushed a lot of people away, I don’t know why,” Hague said.
Hague also sent out a supportive message to other mums on Instagram on 14 May. The influencer posted two gorgeous black and white photos of her with her daughter, Bambi, alongside an honest, heartfelt caption.”Being a mum consists of great days, bad days, normal days, overwhelming days, perfect days, sad days… a lot of days of just making it to the end of the day! But through it all, a crazy amount of love,” she wrote. “To my new mums out there who are reading this… when people say ‘it gets easier’ it really isn’t just a passing comment. You’ve got this.”
Now, it looks as though the new parents are settling into life as a three. Hague has returned to work as creative director of PrettyLittleThing, Fury is taking part in Soccer Aid alongside Liam Payne, and they are carving out more time for each other. And with Fury’s boxing brother, Tyson Fury, and wife Paris expecting their seventh baby, we are hoping to see pictures of the baby cousins playing together soon.
