Meghan Trainer might be married now, but she once had a little fling with one of her musical collaborators. During a May 1 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen,” she revealed that while making the 2015 song “Marvin Gaye” with fellow musician Charlie Puth, the pair shared a romantic moment in the studio.
“Yeah, I’ll give you tea,” she said. “The day we recorded ‘Marvin Gaye,’ the very romantic song, there was booze, and we made out that night in the studio.” She clarified that nothing like that ever happened again between them, but she got caught up while making the song. “We were in the moment,” she said. “The song got to me. The liquor! It was great.”

However, the pair did have another, much more public interaction at the 2015 American Music Awards when they shared a kiss on stage after they performed “Marvin Gaye.” Unfortunately for anyone hoping the pair were together in real life, though, Puth clarified that he and Trainor were “just friends” in a tweet at the time.
Today, Trainor is married to Daryl Sabara, whom she tied the knot with in 2018. The pair welcomed a baby boy named Riley in 2021 and are expecting their second child. Meanwhile, Puth has been linked to Charlotte Lawrence and Selena Gomez, but in 2022, he confirmed he was dating childhood friend Brooke Sansone.
