There’s apparently no bad blood between Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake. The two stars were spotted on camera backstage at the MTV VMAs on Sept. 12, and in a clip, social media users commented it appeared Megan was yelling at Timberlake as he passed by. Fellow *NSYNC member Joey Fatone also seemed to say something as well. Shortly after the clip began going viral, though, a source who saw what happened told Variety there was no truth to the speculation, saying there was “zero fight.”
“He said, ‘It’s so nice to meet you,’ and she said ‘No, no this don’t count, this don’t count. We gotta meet proper,'” the source said. “It was very cute.” Reps for Megan and Timberlake did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.
Earlier in the night, Megan stepped out alongside Cardi B to perform their new single, “Bongos,” sparking an enthusiastic reaction from the crowd – and particularly from Cardi’s husband, Offset. Timberlake also reunited with his band *NSYNC and presented the award for best pop to a very excited Taylor Swift. “Are you gonna do something?” she asked, fueling rumors of more *NSYNC reunions to come.
