And now, we know who will be hosting the show! Judges Melissa Leong and Amaury Guichon are set to make this season a recipe for sweet success.
Who Is Amaury Guichon?
Cannes-born pastry chef Amaury Guichon has amassed over 50 million followers on social media platforms for his delectable chocolate masterpieces.
From delicate sugar work to life-sized chocolate sculptures, complex cakes, and picture-perfect pastries, there is nothing Amaury can’t master. At 21, he was the youngest executive pastry chef in Paris. And now at 31, he boasts a 17-year career in pastry. He hosted his own Netflix series, “School of Chocolate”, in 2021, making him a perfect fit for the show.
“I feel very honoured to have been chosen to be part of this wonderful new adventure that will once again highlight our beautiful industry with all its craft and complexity. I am excited to discover what the contestants will create in order to wow us!” He said in a press release.
Who Is Melissa Leong?
Food writer, critic, cookbook editor, and radio presenter Melissa Leong is no stranger to MasterChef Australia. She has worked with some of the most respected names and brands in Australian food, including Adriano Zumbo and Gelato Messina, making her the perfect candidate to judge the show.
“Desserts have the capacity to be magical. I’m excited to see what these talented chefs are capable of when let loose in the MasterChef kitchen,” she said.
Some of the most exciting names in pastry, desserts, and all things sweet and delicious will bring their elite skills to the competition as they contend to be the nation’s first Dessert Master. With $100,000 on the line, the pressure is on not to fudge it up.
