Married At First Sight Has Cast a Popular Influencer as a Bride for its Upcoming Season

A popular influencer, who is currently sitting at 150,000 Instagram followers, has been revealed as the first bride that will appear on Married at First Sight 2023.

Filming for the controversial reality show has kicked off, and according to the Daily Mail, Melinda Willis has been spotted on set.

The social media star has reportedly wanted to sign up to MAFS for a while now, with sources saying her casting has been “a dream come true”.

Filming of MAFS season nine began in June and is expected to premiere early next year.

Before the announcement was made, Melinda was known for posting selfies and bikini pics in stunning locations on her ‘gram.

However, she hasn’t shared any snaps between June 14th and August 7th — most likely because she’s been busy filming.

Former MAFS cast KC Osborne (season six), Jules Robinson (season six) Joshua Pihlak (season seven) and Jason Engler (season seven) are currently all following Melinda.

Adrian Swift, Nine’s Head of Content Production & Development, spoke with the Herald Sun earlier in the year about what fans can expect from the show.

“We will get Alessandra a bit more involved in the sexuality part of it,” he said. “What we have always found is a complete bellwether for how a relationship [on MAFS] is going is how sexually they are getting on.

“And that getting on might be sexual tension, which is good, it might be sexual resolution, which is good, or it might be, and this often happens, sexual resolution and then nothing.”
