We’ve barely recovered from this year’s season of Married At First Sight, which is why we were surprised to find out that filming for the 2023 instalment is already underway.
In case you’ve been living under a rock, Married At First Sight is one of Australia’s most controversial reality shows for more than one reason.
For one, it makes two complete strangers tie the knot mere moments after exchanging hellos for the first time, and two, the drama is unparalleled.
The show is an emotional rollercoaster from start to finish, not only for the participants but for those watching at home.
People rarely find lifelong love through the show, but there have been a few success stories, so it’s not all bad.
While not much is known about the 10th season just yet, there have been some details leaked to the press.
Here’s what you can expect from MAFS in 2023.
Who Will Participate in MAFS 2023?
While Channel 9 hasn’t directly confirmed who will be taking part in next year’s season, paparazzi pics published by the Daily Mail seem to have given it away.
Here’s who we have so far:
Melinda Willis
Melinda is a flight attendant-turned-beautician from Brisbane, and is currently sitting at 150,000 Instagram followers.
Her TikTok account, where she regularly posts beauty and dancing videos, boasts 29,000 followers.
Melinda has previously competed in the beauty pageant ‘Mrs Ocean Australia’.
Tahnee Cook
27-year-old Tahnee is a content creator hailing from Sydney.
Cook has been in the social media space for over six years, and one look at her website shows that she’s worked with several beauty brands in the past.
She’s also co-hosted the podcast called The Like Us Girls with digital creator, Tonia Stapleton from 2019 to 2020.
Alyssa Barmonde
Alyssa is a single mother and baker from Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
The businesswoman is hoping to find true love on the show, but whether or not she will create her own wedding cake is yet to be seen.
Claire Nomarhas
Childcare worker Claire Nomarhas is set to say “I do” next year, as she ditches the pacifiers for a bridal gown.
While very little is known about her private life, a former high school friend has said she’s a “firecracker” and that she “caused a lot of trouble in high school”.
When Does MAFS 2023 Start?
While the premiere date for MAFS 2023 is yet to be confirmed, there are currently rumours churning that the show will kick off early next year.
It has quite a bit to live up to, as the reality series will air after Channel 9’s Love Island Australia and Channel 10’s The Bachelors Australia.
Where Is MAFS Filmed?
The Daily Mail has reported that MAFS has been filming for a few weeks now, with the hens’ night taking place at Centennial Park’s The Crossways Estate in Sydney.
Previously, the couples were housed at the SKYE Suites in Sydney’s CBD, with a warehouse in Sydney’s Lilyfield being used for the dinner parties.
Which Experts Will Be Returning?
All of them! Clinical sexologist Alessandra Rampolla, relationship expert John Aiken and dating and relationship expert Melissa Schilling will all be returning to the 2023 season of Married At First Sight.
