“Love Island Australia” stars Lucinda Strafford and Zac Nunns, the couple we all rooted for, have officially split. Can you believe it? The news was confirmed by Zac himself via Instagram, marking the end of their whirlwind romance that began on the reality TV show.
“Hey guys, just thought I’d let you know that Lucinda and I have decided to go our separate ways. I’m not feeling too good about the situation and appreciate all the support so far,” he wrote.
However, Lucinda has yet to address the breakup publicly.
Their relationship had garnered attention ever since they found love in the confines of the “Love Island” villa. However, just months after leaving the show, reports surfaced claiming Lucinda initiated the split to pursue opportunities on “Love Island: All Stars”.
According to Lucinda’s friend, this long-distance thing was tough on them. Zac was keen to make it work and even considered moving to the UK. They were all ‘watch this space,’ but we guess things didn’t pan out as they hoped.
“After the show wrapped up I went straight to the UK with Lucinda, then we went to Paris, Portugal and travelled around the UK together. We had the best time,” Zac previously told 9Entertainment. “Eventually I’m going to move in with Lucinda in the UK.”
But now? Well, let’s just say Lucinda’s Instagram looks like she’s trying to erase every memory of him. The pair have also unfollowed each other.
Their “Love Island” Journey
Zac, the 25-year-old student and former electrician, fell head over heels for Bombshell Lucinda the moment she strutted into the Villa. He admitted he’d already developed a “crush” on her after catching glimpses of her “Love Island UK” journey.
Now, let’s talk about Lucinda. At just 23, this influencer made waves in “Love Island UK” in 2021 as a bombshell. She joined the villa on day nine alongside Millie Court but was dumped shortly after. Lucinda failed to find love despite forming connections with Brad McClelland and Aaron Francis. Throw in an on-again, off-again saga with Brighton footballer Aaron Connelly (which officially ended in early 2023), and Lucinda’s journey became even more intriguing.
Now that Zac and Lucinda’s love story over and done with, only time will tell what the future has in store for them. Will we see them back in the Villa? Only time will tell!
