Our favourite Mean Girl has said yes! Lindsay Lohan recently made the announcement that she was engaged to her boyfriend of two years, Bader Shammas, sharing a series of happy snaps of the two of them on Instagram.
“My love. My life. My family. My future. #love” she captioned the carousel. Showing off her stunning princess cut diamond ring, the 35-year-old looked thrilled. Shammas, who works in Dubai where Lindsay has lived for the last seven years, is employed as an Assistant Vice President at banking firm Credit Suisse.
The two choose to remain fairly private and have kept their relationship away from the private eye. Lindsay has also taken a step back from acting but is set to feature in a new Netflix holiday movie alongside Glee actor Chord Overstreet.
Before the pandemic, the Parent Trap star spoke to Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen for CNN’s New Year’s Eve special and said she was looking forward to returning to the US and “taking back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys.”
While the name of her upcoming movie hasn’t been released yet, we do know the actress will play a “newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress” who suffers a skiing accident, causing amnesia. Fortunately, she meets a “handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas.”
The film is expected to release on Netflix sometime in 2022, most likely towards the end of the year.
