The girls are fighting again, everyone. The long-running sibling rivalry (if that’s even the right word) between Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian has once again come to an ugly head. While the Kardashians (and Jenners for that matter) have never been shy of airing conflict for the world to see, I need it on record that I wished they’d kept it for themselves this time. It’s a little family memoir that they cast into the pits of hell for no one to ever see.
Long story short: Kourtney once again lets Kim know that she’s not interested in being a Kardashian™ anymore. This clearly set something off in ol’ Kimberly, because she responds with — and I’m paraphrasing here — ‘your friends, family and children hate you.’
Starr and I debrief this fight, and the now infamous ‘Not Kourtney’ group chat, in the latest episode of POPSUGAR Rush. Basically, we both feel really… icky about the whole situation. Think about the fights you’ve had with your siblings. Now think about how you felt when those fights were resolved. Now think about how you’d feel if those fights, that you’ve already put behind you, were put to air on international television for the world to see, and for you to relive? Yeah, yikes.
But then you consider that the family in question have a huge (if not the most) say over what makes it in the final cut of their reality series, and it’s hard not to wonder why they’d keep this in. Do celebrities not feel the shame in family fights that we usually do? Am I simply projecting? Frankly, this ep. of POPSUGAR Rush was a bit of a therapy session for us both.
Next time, we’ll focus on whether Kim Kardashian drinks beer or not.
Besides these group chats that we also aren’t a part of, this week’s episode of POPSUGAR Rush also saw us both discuss:
- Beyoncé’s newly-announced Renaissance tour film, and why we’re excited.
- Our thoughts on the final season of ‘Sex Education.’
- Britney Spears, her fake knives and her accidental philanthropy.
