The countdown to Big Brother is on, and Channel 7 are slowly introducing us to the new contestants who will be joining Big Brother Australia royalty in the house.
Hailing from Byron Bay, the first participant to get their own feature is Josh, an ex-model who has worked with big names such as Calvin Klein and Vogue Italia.
“I want to be a leader in the house, I have no desire to be a sheep,” he says in the promo. “I probably will get underneath people’s skin.”
From the short preview, it seems Josh enters the house to not only win but to cause chaos. “We’re here to win a game, do you want to keep playing happy families?” he asks the rest of the group, resulting in gobsmacked faces.
Admitting to being “very direct”, Josh says that “he’ll step on toes and ruffle feathers” because he’s not on the show to make best friends.
How things will play out is yet to be seen, but if the teaser is anything to go by, Josh is set to be the villain this season.
As he runs across the beach with his dog, Josh reveals that he’s single, but if you think you’re going to get a sweet love story, don’t hold your breath.
“God forbid I fall in love in [the house],” he says, before following it up with an admission, saying he’s “open to it.”
Big Brother Royalty vs New Contenders is set to kick off soon, with former contestants competing alongside some fresh new faces. From 2003 winner Reggie Bird to 2004 champion Trevor Butler, the upcoming season is going to be full of twists and turns.
Returning to host the show will be Sonia Kruger, and of course, Big Brother himself.
