Joe Alwyn Makes His First Official Appearance Since Taylor Swift Breakup

Joe Alwyn is back in the spotlight following his split from Taylor Swift. On Monday, the 32-year-old actor stepped out for a Celine dinner hosted by Hedi Slimane in Cannes, France. Alwyn kept things effortlessly cool in a black suit and a satin shirt, which he accessorized with a pair of black sunglasses and a gold necklace. Other notable guests included Kaia Gerber, Future, Blackpink’s Lisa, and BTS singer V.

News that Alwyn and Swift had ended their six-year relationship broke on April 8, with “Entertainment Tonight” reporting that they had split “a few weeks” prior. People later confirmed the breakup, citing the reason for their split as “differences in their personalities.” Swift and Alwyn have “had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together,” a source said, but “ultimately” they “weren’t the right fit for one another.” A week later, TMZ published photos of Alwyn out in London, but the Celine event marks his first official appearance since the breakup.

Swift, on the other hand, was seen grabbing dinner with some famous pals, musician Jack Antonoff and actor Margaret Qualley, at New York City’s Via Carota on April 10. She is currently in the midst of her Eras Tour and appears to be moving on from Alwyn with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.

During her tour stop in Foxborough, MA, over the weekend, Swift gave fans an update on how she’s doing. “I’ve just never been this happy in my life, in all aspects of my life ever,” she said in a video shared on TikTok. “And I just want to thank you for being a part of that.” She added, “It’s not just a tour, I just sort of feel like my life finally feels like it makes sense.”
