“Ted Lasso” Star Jodi Balfour and Abbi Jacobson Met on a Dating App

Jodi Balfour, who made her debut as Jack in “Ted Lasso”‘s third and final season, is one-half of one of Hollywood’s funniest couples. The actor is engaged to “Broad City” star Abbi Jacobson. The pair confirmed their engagement in the summer of 2022.

It’s not known when exactly Balfour and Jacobson connected but the duo went public with their romance in October 2021. Balfour, who is South African, has also appeared as Jackie Kennedy on “The Crown,” in episodes of “True Detective,” and as a main cast member of Apple TV+’s “For All Mankind.” Meanwhile, Jacobson first broke out as Abbi on “Broad City,” which she created with costar Ilana Glazer. She currently voices a character in Netflix’s “Disenchantment” and voiced the main character, Katie, in 2021’s Oscar-nominated “The Mitchells vs. the Machines.” She also cocreated the “A League of Their Own” series for Prime Video, which adds a historical and accurate queer spin to the beloved 1992 film of the same name.

Jacobson and Balfour have been mostly tight-lipped about their romance through the years but they have walked quite a few red carpets together. Now, we may not yet know what’s in store for Keeley and Balfour’s Jack in “Ted Lasso,” but we do know the latter and Jacobson are going strong.
