Jessie J Celebrates her 1-Month-Old Son and Shares His Adorable Name
Jessie J is loving life as a mum, and she celebrated her son’s first month in the world on 12 June by revealing his adorbable name. Alongside a photo showing of her newborn, wearing a cute top reading “smile”, she wrote the caption: “Mans like… Sky Safir Cornish Colman”. A day earlier, she shared the cutest video with her followers showcasing the birth, the first few moments of his life, and the cuddles and kisses she has shared with him since. “Tomorrow you are a month old. It’s felt like one long best day of my entire life,” she wrote as the caption. “Mummy and Daddy love you more than anything in this world baby boy.”
Just a few days earlier, Jessie J went public with the father of her baby and revealed her boyfriend is basketball player, Chanan Safir Colman. The couple had kept their relationship private, including throughout her pregnancy, but the singer declared she didn’t “want to love him quietly anymore” on Instagram. To celebrate their baby boy’s month milestone, Colman also posted his own adorable tribute to his son.
“Since you were born, work, food and sleep seem completely irrelevant. When you look deep into my soul while taking the biggest shit in my hands I smile, when you pee all over me while I change you I laugh, when you frantically kiss/suck on the side of my face, shoulder or neck looking for your mothers breast my heart smiles, and when you fall asleep on me with your arms wrapped around me I feel complete,” he wrote alongside a black and white photo of him holding his son in his hands.
In the emotional video posted by Jessie J, baby Sky, as we now know he is called, looks absolutely adorable as he sleeps, yawns, and holds his parents hands. “And if you have followed my journey you would have often shared in my pain. Please join me in sharing in my joy,” she added on her caption. Jessie J appears to be referring to the pregnancy loss she experienced in November 2021. She has been candid about her endometriosis diagnosis, her desire to become a mum, and the overwhelming grief she felt for months following her miscarriage.
While her sharing the darker times of her life has undoubtedly helped others going through similar experiences, it’s important for Jessie J to also shed some light on the joyous moments. When it comes to the birth of her son in early May, she opened up about having a C-section rather than a natural birth, that she had recently had planned, telling followers that delivering him safely was the main priority. And the 35-year-old is continuing to let us in on her motherhood journey. This latest post has certainly brightened up our social media feed!
