“Succession” has been a huge hit on HBO ever since it premiered in June 2018. The series focuses on the Roy siblings who compete against one another to see who should inherit their father’s media conglomerate Waystar RoyCo. One of the things that makes the show so interesting is seeing the siblings’ complicated relationships with each other and their father, Logan Roy, unfold each season. While the family’s dynamic can be described as dysfunctional, in real life, Jeremy Strong, who plays Kendall Roy, previously told GQ that he has a “stable” home life with his wife, Emma Wall, and their children.
Whenever he’s not filming, Strong lives a quiet life with his family – he doesn’t even have social media. The only time he’s really talked about his family has been in interviews. The actor has told a few anecdotes about his daughters Ingrid and Clara over the years, but has yet to share any information about his youngest daughter. In fact, her name has remained a mystery since her birth in 2021.

Jeremy Strong's Daughter, Ingrid
According to GQ, shortly after Strong wrapped filming for the first season of “Succession” in early 2018, he and his wife welcomed their first child together – a girl named Ingrid. The couple was in Copenhagen, Denmark, when their little one arrived. Although they haven’t shared much info about her, the actor told the publication that his life had “changed a lot” since becoming a father because it had become more “stable.”
“I was always just kind of a transient and work was the only thing. And that feels different now, in a very good way,” he said. “There’s something to come home to.”
Strong also said his family life is a lot different than his character Kendall’s. “I have a lot more love in my life than he does,” he said. “I feel very supported in my life. He doesn’t have any of that.”

Jeremy Strong's Daughter, Clara
Strong and Wall welcomed a second daughter named Clara sometime in 2019. In a June 2020 interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Strong said he had spent quality time with his wife and kids during the COVID-19 pandemic. “As you know, when you’re an actor and you’re away a lot, you’re sort of half there and half somewhere else, so this has been a real gift in terms of an opportunity to be really fully here with my family,” he said.
Strong opened up about his kids again while making an appearance on “The Late Late Show With James Corden” in October 2020. The actor was showing off his necklace that a jeweler in London had made for him when he revealed that the necklace featured a few nods to his daughters. “On the back is my daughter [Ingrid]’s footprint,” he said. “And then [for] my other daughter, I’ve got a bell. Her name is Clara and the bell felt sort of clear and shining and bright, which is what her name means.”

Jeremy Strong's Youngest Daughter
Strong and Wall have yet to reveal the name of their youngest daughter, who was born in late 2021. However, the actor briefly discussed his life as a father of three in a December 2021 interview with The New Yorker, admitting it hasn’t been easy balancing his work and home life. “I don’t know if I even believe in balance,” he said. “I believe in extremity.”
Strong added that sometimes he feels like he’s living “a double life,” and tried to explain by using an analogy. “You have to commit to your legend,” he said, referring to a term used to describe a spy’s fake background. “At the time, I’m not sure which one is more real. Am I committing to the legend at home, where I’m the father and the husband, or the legend at work?”
As for what his wife thinks, Wall told The New Yorker that Strong does a “really good job” of prioritizing both his career and family.
