The Jasons enjoyed a rare night out with their kiddos at the Crypto.com Arena on May 22. Jason Sudeikis and Jason Bateman brought their children – Otis Sudeikis, 9, and Maple Bateman, 11, respectively – to the fourth Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets playoffs game. The group sat courtside to watch the action go down as the Nuggets came out victorious, advancing to the NBA Finals for the first time in the team’s history. Other stars in attendance included Adam Sandler, Vin Diesel, and Alex Rodriguez.
Both actors are big basketball fans; Bateman and daughter Maple cheered on the Lakers at a playoffs game against the Memphis Grizzlies last month, while Sudeikis and son Otis attended a New York Knicks game with several members of the “Ted Lasso” cast in March.
Sudeikis and Bateman go way back, both starring in the 2011 dark comedy “Horrible Bosses”, and its 2014 followup, alongside Jennifer Aniston and Charlie Day. Their latest joint appearance has fans hopeful that a third installment of the movie franchise could be in the works, but neither has recently spoken about the possibility following the sequel’s lackluster box office performance.
In addition to Maple, Bateman shares an older daughter, 16-year-old Francesca, with wife Amanda Anka. Sudeikis and ex-fiancée Olivia Wilde also share 6-year-old daughter Daisy and have remained dedicated to coparenting since announcing their breakup in 2020, recently attending one of Otis’s soccer games together.
