Get Your Celeb Fix: All Your “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” Details
Do you enjoy the idea of celebrities being trapped in the wilderness? Are you a reality TV aficionado who enjoys Survivor-esque drama? Do you like the idea of bags of fresh money going to great charities? Then do we have a perfect show for you. The much beloved series — “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” — is back for 2024.
“I’m a Celeb” is a reality television competition where a bunch of celebrities live in a jungle-like environment for up to three weeks. Not only do these celebrities have limited comforts, they also have to compete in challenges for meals and other necessities. Often, these challenges test friendships, create hilarious situations, and can prompt the public to vote certain contestants off. The winner of this series gets to give $100,000 to the charity of their choice.
Last year’s season of “I’m a Celeb” was truly exquisite television. In the finale, Australia crowned our netball icon, Liz Ellis, the ruler of the jungle. She gifted her $100,000 to the charity Share the Dignity, an organisation that provides menstrual products to those who need them the most.
We’re hoping this year’s season of “I’m a Celebrity” will be just as brilliant as the last one. If you’re on the same page as us, here are the all details you need to know.
“I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!”: Who Are the Hosts?
One of the two “I’m a Celebrity” hosts for 2024 is the returning comedian Julia Morris. Julia has been co-hosting this series since 2015. Beyond making puns in this series, Julia is best known for starring in the nineties skit series “Full Frontal” and narrating “Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly”.
However, the show’s other long-standing host, Dr Chris Brown, will not be returning in 2024. He has been replaced by wildlife conservationist and Australia Zoo icon Robert Irwin.
In a press statement, Robert said that he’s thrilled that this season’s being filmed in Africa, a continent that he’s photographed extensively.
“I can’t wait to plunge back into the incredible African jungle and introduce our celebrities to the magnificent wildlife that call the jungle home,” Robert said. “Most of all, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to work alongside the incredibly kind and talented Julia Morris. Crikey! This is going to be a wild ride!”
