Miley Cyrus is known for her incredible voice and hit songs, but she’s also known for her big, famous family. While Miley’s parents, divorced pair Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, have been a big part of her career, a few of her siblings are in the entertainment industry, too. But just how many siblings does the singer-actor have?
While she used to have Chris and Luke Hemsworth as brother-in-laws on account of her marriage with ex Liam Hemsworth, which ended in August 2019, Miley only has five blood siblings: Trace Cyrus, Brandi Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, and a half-brother named Christopher Cody Cyrus – whom Billy has from a previous relationship with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey. After Billy Ray and Tish’s divorce, the two moved on with other relationships and are both engaged to their current partners: Billy to singer-songwriter Firerose; and Tish to “Prison Break” star Dominic Purcell.
Though Christopher – who was born just a few months before Miley in April 1992 – keeps a low profile and has mostly stayed out of the spotlight, Miley has made quite a few public appearances with the rest of her siblings over the years. Her whole family even appeared on “Carpool Karaoke” in 2017.
Speaking to British Vogue in 2021, Miley told the publication, “I have a very intimate and close relationship with my family.” She continued, “But like all families, we’re also complex, but we embrace the fact that each of us are so different from one another. Me and my siblings, we’re a lot alike, but we also have big differences. And we just accept that and don’t judge each other. And our family makes unconditional love a priority.”

Brandi Cyrus
Brandi, born on May 26, 1987, is the biological daughter of Tish and her ex-husband, Baxter Neal Helson, though Billy Ray eventually adopted her. She’s the oldest of Miley’s siblings. While Brandi made a few cameos on her sister’s hit Disney Channel show “Hannah Montana,” today she runs the “Your Favorite Thing Podcast” alongside “The Bachelorette” alum and cohost Wells Adams. Brandi also cohosted the Bravo show “Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer” alongside her mom in 2017, and now they host a podcast together titled “Sorry We’re Stoned With Tish & Brandi Cyrus.” Additionally, Brandi currently runs a fashion blog called Style Native.

Trace Cyrus
Trace’s biological parents are also Tish Cyrus and Baxter Neal Helson, but he was adopted by Billy Ray in 1993. Trace, born on Feb. 24, 1989, is the second oldest Cyrus sibling. He’s best known for being the bassist for Metro Station and played in the band Ashland HIGH. He was briefly engaged to fellow Disney Channel alum Brenda Song but the two called it off in 2012, People reported. According to the outlet, Trace was also engaged to ex-girlfriend Taylor Lauren Sanders in 2018 but he announced two years later that they broke up.
Today, Trace continues to make music – he even joined his younger sister Noah onstage for a performance in October 2022. “Thanks @noahcyrus for bringing me out on stage last night!” he wrote in an Instagram post. “So proud of you Noie! You put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen ?❤️? Love you!!!”

Noah Cyrus
Noah is Billy Ray and Tish’s youngest child and Miley’s youngest sister, but she’s managed to make a big name for herself all on her own. Noah, born in Nashville, TN, on Jan. 8, 2000, appeared in a few movies and TV shows when she was younger – yes, including “Hannah Montana” – but these days she’s well-known for her catchy music. In 2016, she released her debut single, “Make Me (Cry),” and in September 2018, she released her first EP, “Good Cry.” She then impressively scored a best new artist Grammy nomination in 2021 and released her latest album, “The Hardest Part,” the following year.
In 2022, Noah told People of her singing career and her famous family, “I definitely would like to say that I did create my own way into the music business. I think I did it very independently in a way, like where I don’t think people actually expected that, but that was something that was very important to me was to do it independently.”
Today, Noah is engaged to fashion designer Pinkus, news that she announced on June 25. “I never thought i would ever meet a man like you or someone so selfless and filled with so much love to give,” she wrote in her Instagram announcement, which featured photos of her wearing her engagement ring. “. . . I never thought i’d be looking forward to living as much as i look forward to living with you. i’m so grateful for you. i don’t know how i got so lucky … i would say ‘yes’ to you every day for the rest of my life.. i love you Pinks. i love you i love you i love you. ??️⃤ ?✨.”
