All the Hidden Easter Eggs in “Heartstopper” Season 1 You Probably Missed

Netflix

“Heartstopper” captured hearts across the world for its lighthearted and raw depiction of young love and exploration of sexuality when it dropped on Netflix back in April 2022. The coming-of-age drama is set in southeast England, with the show following Charlie (Joe Locke), a high school student who recently came out – or, rather, was forced to come out – as gay.

Charlie might know better than to crush on a straight guy, but the heart wants what it wants, and he soon finds himself falling for rugby player Nick Nelson (Kit Connor). Throughout the course of the series, viewers didn’t just fall for the magnetism that is Charlie and Nick, but also their friends. Alongside other LGBTQ+-positive TV series like “Ted Lasso” and “The Last of Us,” “Heartstopper” put the spotlight on navigating school life as an LGBTQ+ teenager.

Based on the web comic by Alice Oseman of the same name, which was collected into a series of graphic novels, Oseman wrote all of the episodes for the first series, and we’re already gearing up for season two of the series. In a new video shared by the streaming platform on April 24, the cast previewed the new season and announced the date it’s going to premiere.

Ahead of the season two premiere, when we’ll undoubtedly be sinking our teeth into the future adventures of Charlie and Nick, we’ve delved into the many Easter eggs that were littered throughout the first series. From hidden rainbows to the changing school badge, keep reading for all the special moments from “Heartstopper” so far.
